Portable Storage PODS and How They Compare to Mini Storage Units

Recently, portable storage companies have come on the scene claiming they have vast advantages over the tried-and-true mini storage units we have at Smart Move Moving, but we disagree with this assertion.

• Storage PODS are sometimes made of wood, which can leave your belongings vulnerable to mold and other moisture issues.
• Whether these containers are made of wood or steel, they also can become an easy target to thieves who have the tools needed to break in and steal your most valuable items.
• Wooden storage containers are also more susceptible to fires and wood-eating insects, which may prey on your wooden furniture inside the container, too.
• Steel storage PODS can potentially develop rust and possibly leak orangey liquid onto your belongings.
